One beep, two beeps or LOOK OUT!, 10.29.20105 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5

I have a bulb horn on the bow bag. It sounds like a large version of the old rat squeak toy. People jump, look around and wonder what. Problem has been putting one hand on the horn when I really want it on the brake. After nearly getting t-boned by a roadie cutting a blind corner into my lane, I got the NiteRider. It is loud. It is two tone (Wee..Oooh). With practice you can make nice and do single beeps or double beeps or just lean on it. The button is where I can reach it with a hand on the brakes. If you hear a siren coming round the bend, it's probably the TrailBear. I am looking forward to the 1.6 mile St. Paul Tunnel next season. They have a tradition of Tunnel Annoyance Devices there in the darkness. Between the squeak toy and the NiteRider, I should be competitive. Originally Posted on Oct 29, 2010

An excellent tool., 9.23.20105 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5

At first, I had my doubts that this would be able to work against vehicle traffic, but after this week of use - I am sold. I actually cringe a bit when using the siren against pedestrians simply because of their jumping and squealing to get out of the way. Against cars and trucks the siren is effective and when teamed up with my Niterider set-up they can't say they never knew I was there! Great product. Originally Posted on Sep 23, 2010

What do you have on your bike now? Nothing. What will you have after buying this? An effective way of making your presence known. I would say this is most effective to warn pedestrians and other cyclists, and anything that increases my visibility on the road is a good thing. The installation took seconds and placement of the on/off switch was even easier. Over all, I am very happy with this purchase. Originally Poste on Sep 18, 2010

I love it, very loud and gets peoples attention FAST. Even people in cars with closed windows. But I accidentaly left it out one night while it was raining and it was ruined. I am getting a new one so remember not to leave it out! Originally Posted on May 1, 2010
